Why Choose DPC?
Why Choose DPC?
Why DPC makes sense:
Traditionally, over 40¢ of every $1 you spend on healthcare goes towards insurance billing and overhead. This means your doctor must work harder and faster, seeing more patients each day, just to make ends meet. As a patient, you experience longer wait times, shorter appointments and higher costs. Instead of dealing with costly third-party overhead, we reinvest that 40¢ into our clinic and into patient services. You experience shorter wait times, longer appointments and lower costs.
We believe traditional insurance should be there when you need it – for serious illness and expensive, unanticipated events. In fact, insurance can interfere with routine primary and preventive care by reducing access to your doctor, shortening office visits and increasing costs. Although we do not bill most insurances, we believe you can enhance your healthcare with a combination of direct primary care and a wrap-around insurance or medical cost-sharing plan. The same goes for patient’s with Medicare. While Medicare is the only insurance we are required to bill for our services, we offer the same personalized care and value for our Medicare patients that we offer all of our Direct Primary Care patients, including working to minimize hurdles wherever possible.

One study published in the American Journal of Managed Care found that DPC may be a cost-effective alternative to traditional primary care for Medicare beneficiaries, particularly for those with chronic diseases. The study found that DPC patients had lower hospitalization rates and lower overall healthcare costs compared to traditional primary care patients.
While Medicare is the only insurance we are required to bill for our services, we offer the same personalized, quality care and value for our Medicare patients that we provide all our Direct Primary Care patients, including working to minimize hurdles and excess costs wherever possible.
Another study published in the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine found that DPC can improve access to primary care for Medicaid beneficiaries and lead to improved health outcomes. The study found that DPC patients had fewer emergency department visits and hospitalizations, and better management of chronic diseases compared to traditional primary care patients.
A systematic review published in the Annals of Family Medicine also found that DPC may be a cost-effective alternative to traditional primary care for Medicaid beneficiaries, particularly for those with chronic diseases. The review found that DPC was associated with improved access to primary care, improved patient satisfaction, and improved health outcomes for Medicaid beneficiaries.
